Champions League Opponents; Bayer Leverkusen
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TALK
Who have our opponents been buying during the transfer window to strengthen their squad, are there any names there that should concern us?
We have recently been linked with a possible move for 22-year-old (23 next February) Turkish international attacking midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu. We have previously been linked with moves for German international Christoph Kramer, who joined Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer and young Croatian starlet Tin Jedvaj.
They finished third in the German League and have been coached by Roger Schmidt since July 2014. If we look at our games against Borussia Dortmund, admittedly with a weaker team than usual, we have to accept that they will not be easy opponents, although neither are they to be feared. There looks to be two tight games against them coming up.
