Liverpool fans website gets it all wrong

I'm afraid the fella who wrote this article hasn't much of a clue about the Tottenham youngsters. The chip on the shoulder sees an innocent comment turned into a criticism and then they try to suggest Pochettino's youth policy isn't backed-up by the facts, which of course are then distorted.

Pochettino criticises Liverpool

"Liverpool prefers to buy experience and quality, and bring a player who is 24, 23 or 26 that performs quickly, rather than give time to the younger players.
"Tottenham is in a different project. We bring in players, but we try to give the opportunity to the younger players who have potential one day to be in the first team".
Pochettino joined Spurs on 27 May 2014 and has given chances to a host of players while developing other youth players. Harry Kane had only played a few games for instance, who wasn't a first-team regular.

The website lists who Liverpool have introduced this season, whilst not grasping how you actually develop youngsters. The competition you play in is irrelevant.

However, they list the League Cup for Liverpool players introduced and totally dismiss someone like Cameron Carter-Vickers who played in the last round against Gillingham. There is no mention of Tottenham having the youngest squad in the Premier League or players who have been introduced and sold. As Pochettino pointed out, an opportunity for younger players who have the 'potential' to be in the first team.

Some are naturally not going to make it or, as in the case of Andros Townsend and Nabil Bentaleb, wanted to move on. It is rather silly to suggest a policy isn't backed up by the facts when your facts are somewhat distorted.
