Marcel and Foyth

TRANSFER TALK

Once again websites are incorrectly reporting the 20-year-old (21 next April) Nice midfielder Vincent Marcel situation by claiming personal terms have previously been agreed, which isn't true.

Tottenham and the players agent agreed to a move in principle only, which means he is OK with the prospect of moving to Spurs and rough ball-park figures are acceptable. Personal terms in detail have not been discussed yet, why would they, we don't even know if we are going to try and sign him.

We have not made an official bid and thus too much is being made of preliminary chats, which take place between clubs, players and agents all the time. We are interested, but have yet to firm up that interest.

Another youngster Juan Foyth is said to be awaiting the nod to fly to London and agree personal terms to sign for Tottenham after Estudiantes president Juan Sebastian Veron spent the week discussing a deal with us.
